What is the latest info on Covid 19? What to expect.


Due to Coronavirus (COVID-19), the property has reduced reception and service operating hours. We welcome visitors for quarantine, please email us for rules and regulations.

Food & beverage services at the property may be limited or unavailable due to COVID-19.

Is R13 - A Townhouse Hotel, a new hotel?


Yes, it is brand new and was opened in late 2020, then closed because of Covid. The restaurant/bar will open in October/November 2023. There will be 2 restaurants in the lobby of the hotel.

How does the Airport Shuttle work? How do I get to Reykjavik?


All international flights will land in another city called Keflavík, around a 45 minute drive from Reykjavík. There are no free shuttles to the hotels in Reykjavík.

There are two options to choose from (besides renting a car): Bus or Taxi.


FLYBUS: Will drive you straight to the door at our hotel, see: flybus.is

AIRPORT EXPRESS: Will drive you straight to the door at our hotel, see: airportexpress.is

Taxi: The fare is charged according to the taximeter. According to their rate per kilometre, a regular five-seater car will cost around 16.000 krónur (103 euros/126 US dollars). An eight-seater will cost around 19.000 krónur (123 euros/150 US dollars)

What time is check-in and check-out?


Check in is after 15:00.
Check out is at 11:00.

Can I check in early?


We will try everything we can to get you checked in as early as possible, but we can not guarantee this. You can go to your “self-service portal”, via your booking confirmation and pay for early check-in to guarantee early check-in. If you book direct with us, you can select and pay for early check-in at the time of a direct booking.

Is there free self parking?


Yes there is, and it is free.

Our parking shares free self parking with 3 other adjoining houses. It’s first come, first serve.

There are 135 free parking spaces in total, and 10 private spaces right in front of our building.

After 17:00 (5 pm) most of the parking empties out, so if you are arriving back from a tour or the countryside, plenty of parking will be available. Once you’re in a parking spot you can stay as long as you want.

How is my room guaranteed?


Reservations are guaranteed with a valid credit card at the time of booking. We'll ask you to verify the payment details and have the card physically there upon check-in.

Refundable reservations will be charged 7 days before arrival. For non-refundable reservations, the full booking amount will be charged to your card at the time of booking.

How do I cancel my reservation?


If you need to cancel your reservation you need to cancel at least 7 days prior to check in to avoid any cancellation charges.

Reservations designated as non-refundable at the time of booking remain non-refundable regardless of circumstances.

Please notify us via email at least 7 days before the start of your booking if you would like to cancel.

How do I check-in once I am at the hotel?


We highly recommend finishing your check-in procedure and payment before arrival on the “Self Service Portal”, the link will be in your confirmation email once you have made a booking. It’s really easy and will make your check-in so much faster. You can also check-in on the kiosks at the bar in the lobby. At the kiosks you can finish your guest registration, if you haven’t already done it on the self service portal. Again, we highly recommend finishing your check in procedure and payment before arrival on the “Self Service Portal”

Can I use cash at the hotel?


No. Cash is not accepted at the hotel, bar or the restaurants. You can not use cash as security deposit at the hotel, only credit and debit cards are accepted.

What are your reservation policies?


You must be 21 or older to book a room.

Please note that for security purposes you will be asked to provide a valid government or state-issued photo ID at check-in and a credit card for security authorisation.

If you'd like a little bit more time after 11am checkout, we'll do what we can to accommodate and we're always more than willing to hold on to your stuff for a few hours. You can also pay for a guaranteed late check out by the hour through the “self service portal”, or when you book direct with the hotel.

How do I check my reservation?


We'll send you an email to confirm all your reservation details including the confirmation number, dates of stay, room type, the number of guests and your confirmed rates. Your confirmation email also gives you access to the self service portal, where you can check your reservation, pay for your stay, upgrade your room, get your invoice etc.


Can I smoke in my room?


No…. Absolutely not. All rooms, restaurant and lobby are completely non-smoking. If you light up or vape inside the hotel we must charge a €300 to €500 smoking fee to your card, plus taxes. Go outside, mingle and be social.

Can someone else pay for my stay?


Only if they fill out a credit card authorization, and mail it to us. We need a credit card at the time of check-in, for your stay and for security deposit. The credit card has to be the name of the person staying When you check in at the front desk, we’ll ask you for a credit card and a valid ID that matches the card you’re using to check in.

Refundable reservations will be charged 7 days before arrival. until time of departure or in the event of a cancellation. For non-refundable reservations, the full booking amount will be charged to your card anytime before arrival.

Do all the rooms have kitchens?


Yes, we offer fully functional kitchens with a two burner electric stove, sink, fridge, a combination oven/microwave, dishwasher, electric kettle, coffee press, toaster and three sets of dishes, bowls, coffee cups, wine glasses and in addition, pots and pans, cooking utensils and cutlery. We provide paper towels, kitchen towel and washing up liquid as well as dishwasher soap. There are jars of full of ground coffee, assorted tea, sugar and salt. There is everything you would need to make some simple meals. even the single rooms have full kitchens.
